CONTRIBUTORS
All levels of dynamics are
necessary to make music interesting.
All levels of giving are
necessary to make music possible.
We are always raising
donations and are currently in the midst of
a fundraising campaign to raise $20,000 for
the 2009-10 season. We invite all readers to
become one of the Dynamic Contributors of
The Paramount Chamber Players. We are
delighted to receive a gift of any amount
but have created suggested giving levels
that are associated with the terms of
dynamics in the music. All gifts are fully
tax deductible.
The word “dynamics” refers to
the degree of volume in music. The most
commonly used terms to describe the levels
of loud and soft are Italian terms:
pianissimo (very soft), piano (soft), forte
(loud), fortissimo (very loud) and sforzando
(suddenly louder than anything around it).
Our recommended giving levels
are:
Pianissimo
up to $100
Piano $101 –
250
Forte $251 –
500
Fortissimo
$500 – 2000
Sfortzando
$2001 and up.
